As a male technophobe in his mid-60s, in 2021 I was confronted with the prospect of engaging an unknown (to me) conveyancer, namely Cornerstone ... , to act on my behalf in the sale of a residential property. Lauren Warbrook was assigned to represent me and my interest in that property. The "on-line" process, albeit daunting for me, was made easy and Lauren helped me through the various stages. Hers was a flawless professional performance, on that occasion.Fast forward to 2023 ... I had moved on with my life and found a home to buy. It was a "no-brainer" that Cornerstone was the conveyancer of choice, and again I was granted the request to have Lauren look after my transaction. The technical, on-line requirements were no less daunting this time 'round, but knowing that Lauren was there to walk me through the issues and to keep me posted, helped to relieve my anxieties. Trusting the bulk of my life savings to someone (I've never met) and to an organisation, I've only ever dealt with "on-line" is far removed from the world I entered in 1974, as a bank employee, whose then employer was still relying on manual ledgers ... i.e. pre-computers.Times may have changed, but from my two experiences with Cornerstone ... Annette is an amazing woman who is worth her weight in Gold, She made me feel like I was in good hands and was verry positive, confident and super productive through the whole process.
